So what is even the point of multiple desktops on WIndows 10?
It’s not like it’s useful, one change to one desktop reflects across all of them, so I can’t set up an “art desktop”, a “programming desktop” and a “general fucking around desktop” since the shortcuts on the desktop/taskbar/start menu itself would all be amalgamated anyway, so it all just becomes three big “general fucking around desktops”.
I’m failing to see the point of it.
It’s for people who have fuckloads of windows and applications open at the same time, like me <_>
I use multiple desktops to homework, mostly. Having Word or Visual Studio in any state other than maximized bugs me out so I have a separate desktop for that with the assignment details or program specs on another. And I switch between them using [Ctrl]-[Win]-[Right] or [Left]
Some people separate their IM stuff and browser windows into other desktops as well.
To me at least, it’s much easier to work with instead of [Alt]-[Tab]ing through a long list of open windows the time. I remember falling in love with Spaces on Mac OS X when I used it years ago, so having it natively on Windows makes me happy.
(Not to say that having separate desktop icon arrangements wouldn’t be super cool, though. o: *writes a note to Microsoft*)
*watches Penn State vs. Michigan State*
*cries gallons of tears*
It’s not that Inkscape becomes unresponsive and freezes whenever I’m working on images because of performance issues. It just doesn’t want to recognize my mouse input consistently.
I try to move a shape with the Select tool but it doesn’t even want to select the shape to start with. Funnily enough, if I click and drag, it forms a selecting area. So Inkscape is recognizing that input. But if I try to move a selected shape by clicking and dragging, it doesn’t move. Instead, a new selecting area is made and I throw a fit.
I go to click something on any one of the toolbars and it doesn’t register unless I mash on some keyboard buttons or bring another window up and return back. The menu bar is the only thing I can actually click on that registers. Every other button and object (including the scroll bars) refuse to cooperate.
And this all starts even with a new and blank file.
oooOoh my god I am going to break my surface pro 3 over my knee
i got it specifically so I could do updates on it
but it can’t even handle photoshop and freezes up every two seconds
EVEN THOUGH ALL THE REVIEWS I READ SAID IT COULD RUN IT FINE
it’s been dumb since I got it last year but doing tonight’s update on it was like 100x more frustrating than usual holy god
4/10 would not recommend for anything more than internet browsing D<
Oh damn. o-o
I’ve been using an SP3 for updating and drawing stuff while I’m away in college and haven’t had an issue with it (aside from driver problems).
And these are 3200x2400px canvases with brush effects and the occasional shading and +200MB files. That stuff tends to rev the CPU fan to the max but I haven’t had anything crash or slow down because of it.
Then again, I don’t use Photoshop so I dunno. ‘~’

Now this I can answer.
Tacos are shit. Have a tacu-tacu instead.

I don’t even know how to respond to this…
Yaaaaayyy I’m going home
It’s funny how I’ve been separated from my desktop (where I drew pretty much everything) since August and now it’s November and I’m only just now noticing all the dumb issues preventing me from working on blog updates.
Hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
So Inkscape is, for some reason, near unusable on my laptop. It’s unresponsive to mouse clicks 75% of the time. And so far, I can’t seem to figure out why.
What do I need Inkscape for, you ask? Well, that’s how I add text to comic panels. :V
Looks like I’m gonna have to use something else… Ugh. Change. V:
Can I flip my roommate out of bed and out the window at this point, or is that illegal?
As dead as Diaries might seem to be, I still am doing a lot of things with the world internally. One of these things is developing an idea of what the alternate Equestrian towns and cities look like.
So yeah. Time for a long post!
Hockey is my least favorite sport to watch because I can’t follow that tiny-ass puck being swung everywhere. Makes the sport look like unsynchronized ice skating with a bunch of beefy padded men smacking the floor with sticks.
(post script)
I might as well start watching other stuff in case the horses sink and I’m not left in the dark. :v
Steven Universe bored me the last time I attempted to watch it, but apparently I need to go deeper in order to “feel it”. So maybe I’ll try again.
Gravity Falls is great from what I’ve seen, but I haven’t caught up on it all. Probably should get on that.
Following @nitrus-baro has gotten me interesting Wander Over Yonder, so I’ll also try that sometime.
… Undertale. >:c
My dashboard is 80% Undertale-related and it’s close to surpassing the “horribly annoying” phase and going into “OKAY FUCKING FINE I’LL FUCKING PLAY IT.”
And I think that’s it.
Eh.
I guess it’s due to the people I follow and/or the friends I have, but I’m starting to get the impression that MLP is entering denouement.
Don’t get me wrong, season 5 has been great. But the recent bout of “meh” episodes has been getting me to think that maybe the writers are starting to hit a couple of walls.
Especially with Twilight. Good lord. All season, she’s been practically absent and in the times she has been the focus, she doesn’t even sound like herself. Like she’s just hanging around not doing anything productive, exaggerating her worries, and just appearing to be simply useless! This princess thing has been essentially detrimental to her development as she’s apparently hit her peak and has nowhere to go but straight down. Ugh. And she was one of my favorite characters :c
Of course, I’m probably gonna eat these words by the time the finale hits. Maybe it’s some intentional bug that becomes the focus of the last two episodes. But even after that, I fear that S6 will only continue this trend downhill. All the way to the series’ completion.
That grand feeling when a class you want to take in the spring (that is full) has a seat opening and you nab it in time.

So! Tumblr messaging! That’s cool!
I’m surprised I haven’t heard the theory that Tumblr is intentionally changing up features just so they can drive the “core base” (that being, dumb people we complain about a lot like fandoms, SJWs, teenagers who think they’re hot shit, etc) away and thus improve the reputation of the site in the long run.

Mmmmmmmm
Haha I didn’t notice that it was 1 AM again.
Happy end of DST, America :v
