Speaking personally, as a dinosaur, I wonder what your opinion is on the poor representation of prehistoric plants in media and the focus on prehistoric fauna over prehistoric flora
That’s just a result of animals being biased towards other animals in media. Animals want to know where they came from and who their ancestors were and love to create stories around these giant lizards because their bone casts looks cool af.
High-key excited for Actual Horse Movie but low-key not gonna watch it until goes to the home market (streaming/DVD/BD whatever) because I’m deathly afraid of going to see it in a movie theater o_o’
Shout-out to the university for scrubbing last year’s summer course transfer credits from my record >:C
Iktf dude. They fucked me out of stat credits.
Rang up Admissions and they told me that I have to get the credits reevaluated because of “mishaps” with the “student information system migration” are you fucking kidding me.
THEY KNOW I TOOK THE COURSE. THEY READ OUT THE COURSE NAME AND CREDIT NUMBER OVER THE PHONE
Why the hell do I need to get it reeval’d if they passed the first time!? And then they go on to say that they don’t count for Physics 212 anymore are you for real. Clearly they are because that’s what you said back in November and that’s what’s on my old transcript.
It’s only 4 measly credits but I’m pissed the fuck off regardless.
Don’t forget you have to pay for credit evaluations and by the time they get back to you it’s the end of the semester

There’s three stages of reactions I have with regards to blogs/people who are mostly dedicated to political and social justice stuff.
Simple Agreement/Disagreement: Also known as the normal stage. This shouldn’t need explanation, but it’s basically your average reactio
Annoyance: Now that you know that the guy you saw is a political type, you start seeing him everywhere. Mainly on reblogs and in the form of long and rambling paragraphs leading up to calling OP an idiot or some other Tumblr insult. And he starts getting repetitive and more aggressive over time and it becomes annoying as high hell. You wish they would fucking shut up once in a while and hate everything they talk about.
Concern: But they never shut up, instead growing louder and more nonsensical in their responses to the point where you think that there’s something seriously wrong with them. Because you know, obsession is unhealthy. And you have to wonder if actively trying to be mad and reactionary to every political topic of the hour is really the sign of man who’s lost his way. He used to have a way with words and you wonder if he can ever recover from his battles. Return to his family. Retire happy. Maybe this is a plea for help. Maybe you should intervene. Send a little message, “Are you okay?”
It’s really awkward when a race discourse (white vs. black) comes up because every time it does, it forces me, a Peruvian-American mestizo, to ask where I fit into this whole equation.
Or more importantly, should I really care about fitting in these silly American things.
Honestly, stop getting news from social media in general. That includes this site.
Because the point of social media is to be shared. And obviously, news stories that attract more eyes and clicks are gonna be shared more. Even if they’re bullshit like covfefe or some misleading/overblown article on Mic or something.
You’re gonna get lied to. Or have information hidden from you because they think you have an attention span of 140 characters.
If you’re seeing more memes than actual content in your primary news feeds, you’re doing wrong. So wrong.
trump: *pulls out of the paris agreement, severely harming the current global efforts to combat global warming because he’s either too fucking stupid or too evil to see that it’s a big deal and also starts the process of wiping out net neutrality, an objectively horrible thing for everone that isn’t a massive telecom company executive and will cause untold levels of damage on our ability to communicate through the internet*
media:
trump: *makes a spelling mistake on twitter*
media:OMG have you heard of
COVFEFE??????????????????????????????
look i really hate to be that person who takes anything seriously on this hellsite but i’ve had it up to about here with the “trump is an evil mastermind distracting us from the real problems instead of an unstable, senile old man with a tenuous grip on reality” conspiracy theories so i’ve just gotta do it today
too tired already to get into the net neutrality issue too but the point is: if you’re getting all your news from twitter memes, of course you’ve heard more about covfefe than actual policy, but the root of the matter isn’t that journalists aren’t doing their jobs and reporting on the real issues, it’s that you’re getting all your news from twitter memes
