Steamquestria is a (mostly) humanized, clock- and steam-inspired AU starring Twilight Sparkle, the only slightly mad scientist who builds five element-driven robots and must now teach them the meaning of friendship. This will be more difficult than she thinks.

It's not steampunk! Despite the title, this is probably best described as a Victorian-fashioned, alchemy-powered fantasy world with design elements inspired by gaslamp, clockpunk, cyberprep and other similar genres (it's probably closest to whatever the gaslamp equivalent to clockpunk is, but with bustles). Which all makes it sound a lot cooler than it actually is.

It started out as some doodles of Twilight as a steampunk scientist, then called "Accomplished Steampunk Scientist Twilight", but by the time it actually developed into a world on its own it had become significantly less steam-related. But I'd already made the tumblr and "Alchemequestria" doesn't have quite the same ring, so oh well.

Everything here is SFW, although due to some darker themes I would not recommend this for anyone under the age of 8.
