It’s a bit of both.
Most of them have a rather significant role in the coming chapters. But really, I just like writing this kind of stuff.
Jesus, I’ve been writing a lot for Five Angry Horses.
Already have substantial info for Ruby Pinch, Tornado Bolt, Snips, Snails, the Cake Twins, Vinyl Scratch, Octavia, Lyra, Bon Bon, and a ton of other background characters (and background OCs because reasons.)
see FiM is incredible when you think about it because the mane six are basically the saviors of ponykind and they’ve saved the world multiple times without breaking a sweat and whenever something terrible is threatening equestria they’re always the last line of defense
but they’re also just a bunch of dumb 20-somethings who have no idea what they’re doing half the time
I think I’m going through a favorite character shift in PC.
I’m still writing a ton of stuff to use in S2 and now Dinky is my favorite character to write for.
