Something something drama that has existed before but got bumped by HN.

Traceponies, £100 traces masquerading as professional work, trace is bad, reference is good, I used to trace in my vector era, and the experience helped me learn how to retain a close-to-show style without ever needing to trace again so it’s kinda okay as a study or for practice, but not for anything you really want to make business out of. :Y

And that’s all I’m gonna say.

Nothing will convince me that the way I draw (not the style, but the actual process) is not weird as hell.

Unless there’s a bunch of other people who assemble sketches and drawings by creating multiple layers of body parts and mashing them together like a puzzle. In which case, never mind.

The last time I updated the PC cutie mark assets was in 2013 so I thought maybe it was time to give them a refresh (and to vector them).

Only Scoots’ and Apple Bloom’s marks received a more drastic facelift.

Slime mold was grown on an agar gel plate shaped like America and food sources were placed where America’s large cities are.

The result? A possible look at how to best build public transportation.

I just really like the idea of slime mold on a map of the US. It’s beautiful.

I’m—

holy shit

I have a raging science ladyboner right now.

I’d love if we could do it on a state-by-state basis.

That same slime mold once affirmed that the Tokyo subway is pretty well-designed.

Using slime molds as a calculator.

Natural computation: it’s a thing, and it’s awesome. What is the universe but a really, really complicated computer?

tumblr is so funny. ur meme is problematic. ur media is problematic. ur theorist is problematic. i only consume the most idelogically pure anything. in fact, i stay inside my room at all times, surrounded by pure ideology, and any time something is revealed to have the slightest whiff of problematics, i devour it whole, allowing my ideologically pure stomach acid 2 destroy its essence

Tumblr’s obsession with their politically correct purity is almost nun-like

I don’t think I ever mentioned this. I have this RD vinyl figure that I won at a charity auction in a small Bridgewater con. It’s the second price of MLP merchandise I ever received, the first being a set of IDW comics. This was pretty much my peak. Not meaning that in a negative way of course.

Am I even still part of this pony fandom?

I feel like I’m slowly drifting into isolated territories. Far from drama and the people and the, uh, more people.

The wild countryside.

One room mud houses.

With a couch and TV for watching MLP, and a table for drawing a blog based on it.

And a tin-can phone connecting me to other people .2.

Is this even horsedom anymore?
