I’ve been taught that interrupting someone’s conversation with other people is rude and you should never do it. Ever. Especially if it’s with people you really don’t know just yet.

As a result, I rarely engage in conversation in new groups. I just sit there doing nothing while they all go nuts. Only when they finish, that’s when I can start talking.
