If you’re rude to your followers, I will immediately unfollow you

Just want to get this off my chest:

When people say “I don’t care if you unfollow me, it’s my blog I owe you nothing” it’s a huge turn off for me. You SHOULD care about your followers to an extent, not the the point you obsess about your numbers and publicly announce you lost one or stalking the unfollower down and confronting them, because that’s you thinking about yourself. Losing a follower is someone making a choice to leave for whatever reason and if you try to get sympathy from announcing you lost one, it’s just not something I want to hear because losing followers is natural and you should respect your followers enough to let them leave peacefully. They’re real people with real feelings, saying you don’t care if one leaves would be like them saying “I don’t care if you don’t post”

And yes you owe them nothing, and they owe you nothing. But they’re giving time out of their day to you and you technically don’t owe anyone in your life anything, but what kind of world would it be if no one gave each other things? If you’re rude to them, they’ll be more willing to lash out at you (Unless they’re trolls, those always lash out…)

I just think people need to be more considerate in general. Having different interests, opinions and knowing different things is not an invitation to be rude. The world is already so negative I only want to follow good hearted people who make the world seem a little brighter.
