Yesterday, NWS posted an alert about a fire warning for parts of NJ and other states.

It seemed laughable because the temperature was below freezing. I mean come on? Wildfires? In 30 degree weather? Please.

But.

It happened.

A fucking fire started in Old Bridge. 230 acres.

I give up.

  3. undulatusasperatus said: There can still be a fire danger warning issued even if the air is cold. It usually depends on the wind and humidity, as well as the vegetation of the area. The NWS issued a Red Flag Warning for the area because of high winds and dry fuels.
