I do NOT appreciate tumblr taking the initiative to now put posts from ‘suggested blogs’ right into my dashboard.

Tumblr. I do not need your help to find blogs to follow. A lot of people who show up in my Recommended Blogs are people who I specifically do not follow for a REASON. I do not want their posts showing up on my dashboard — that would be the reason I am NOT following them.

I also don’t want to block these people - I find it petty to block someone unless they are harassing you, I would have liked to just continue to live in a land of mutually pretending each other doesn’t exist, but now you’re ~~being helpful~~ and shoving their posts directly on to my dash.

Thanks for that. Really. A lot.

Stahp trying to ‘help’.

Love,
Ash

Wait, Tumblr does this? That’s stupid as all fuck.

I can’t prove that it might be, but since I’ve never seen it, downloading Adblock, and Adblock plus might get rid of them.

I haven’t seen any of these kinds of posts. I have AdBlock Plus for Chrome, so that may be why. (It also blocks sponsored posts, I believe.)

So yes, try to get on that. And if you have it, go to the settings and update the filter lists.

I’m not sure how Tumblr’s algorithm for the suggested blog thing works, but I think it tracks your likes and reblogs and any blogs mentioned in them. So if you’re a blog that tends to argue or call people out through reblogs, then take note of this.

EDIT: And Xkit has an extension for removing Recommended posts called, “No Recommended.” That may be helpful as well.
