I recognized the ample use of British vernacular, but was unaware that they did not use kmph, because last I heard they did.
It’s even in a smaller print on every speed dial in case you go overseas.

Actually, I think automakers mainly put k/h in small print on American cars because then it’s easier to sell or resell them in Canada and Mexico, which do use the metric system.
