Honestly microsoft is just gonna send you a new one- that’s what they did when my surface cracked. Payed the $450 for ‘repairs’ and then like a week later BOOP HERE’S A NEW ONE
I figured, haha!
And honestly, this situation is just weird because me and dad did sort of rush to find a replacement.
The day it broke (which was Thursday), we immediately bought the replacement under the assumption that the thing was dead and he had it sent to me over the weekend.
What we ended up getting was a discounted surface pro 4. Again, we really thought the SP3 was a goner and that sending it to MS would take too long. And I loved the surface and didn’t want to let go ;2;
Awkwardly, I did manage to get the SP3 working again by miraculously disabling the touch screen drivers (keyboard navigation for the win!). So as a regular ol’ laptop, the thing works just fine.
So now I have two Surfaces, one in much better condition than the other, but both working.
And I seriously don’t know what to do? Do I keep the new one and sell the old one because upgrades are nice? Return the new one and keep the old one or send it to get MS-replaced because the upgrade is pointless? Dad says he’s okay with any option and I feel bad for having him spend so much ;n;
