You know what's ironic? That you like shipping Scootaloo with Sweetie Belle. That whole business in revision 2 of PC actually made me enjoy ScootaBloom.

Dohohoho~

Do you, by any chance, have the moves and/or the mojo? And, assuming the previous to be true, are there any harder working ponies around?

Oh, speaking of your mobile gadgets... is your iPad one of the models with cellular data access, or is it Wi-Fi only?

Asked by Anonymous

It’s a Wi-Fi only.

I saw the thing about the folio, and... well, Mr. Cactus, I just don't feel right about viewing or paying for foalcon. I know you don't wish to talk about it, and I don't expect an answer to this ask, but I just thought I should say as such. Once you open up commissions, I'd gladly support you there (if I can think of anything to ask for).

I completely understand.

This is one of the things I was considering while making the series. That people would be uncomfortable with paying for something like this. So I tried to play it down and not make it so “in-your-face” but that wasn’t working.

Really, I’ve fallen into a blind stage. (Slightly off-topic rant time) I only draw because I want to draw and continue the stories I’ve started. But practically no one is criticizing or reacting to anything and I feel like I’m beginning to stagnate. On the rare case I get good comments or even fanart, I get massively giddy because it doesn’t happen often like a lot of other people on this site.

There’s also the case of what I draw, and how gives me the opposite feeling to the above. There’s so many pics that are all good and finished but are never posted because I’m too scared to see it go public. And I get scared that I will become targeted for what I draw because it’s so unorthodox.

It’s why I’m so nervous about putting a price on my art, or even defending it when it gets edited or even stolen. I don’t know if it’s good enough to even care for it. If I can’t even price my own work, then why should I oblige you to donate or pay for a commission?

"Back" into the world of Apple? Were you once a Mac user, Mr. Cactus?

I used to be a big Apple fan. At one point, I had a Macbook Pro, and iPod Touch (2nd Gen) and was saving up for an iMac to replace my ailing desktop.

I kinda grew out of it. iPod was hand-me-downed in favor for my Galaxy S1, and the Macbook was the only Apple thing left. I started using it less and now it’s on the brink of death.

I don't know if anyone told you this already, but the PC Christmas update is beautiful and incredibly sweet. Just wanted to put that out there.

Aww thank you kind anon! ^3^

You keep throwing in retcons, dude. I think you're just indecisive. My suggestion: don't try to match canon, or have your universe make sense. That's where madness lies.

I can’t help it though! ;A;

It’s too fuuuuuuuun.

But yeah, I should probably calm down with the revisions. It’s just that I feel like the stuff I’ve written when I was 14 isn’t as good as it should be. They feel outdated and too loosely tied.

Really, all the key things I’ve changed are: the name of the wing disorder, SB’s cutie mark story (which hasn’t been revealed publicly in detail yet), and the Spike saga (which also wasn’t explained in full detail). And all these were part of the Rev 3 rewrite last December.

At least, all this extra writing isn’t as bad as it was in 2012. And I made it through one whole year without scrapping everything is starting a fourth revision. That must be a good sign, right?

I’m gonna promise right here and right now: No more radical changes from here on out.

You're forgetting that Scootaloo was confirmed for not being homeless. Post Crusade fanon ruined, burn it down, salt the earth, etc. (though PC Scootaloo living with Pinkie and the Cake babies has hardly been a big thing)

The housing issue is fairly minor compared to the rest of story points and can be easily ignored in favor of what I have established.

The real issue is Scootaparents, which is a much bigger plot point and not so ignorable if it becomes show canon. ._.’

But the inhabitant of saddle arabia was horses.

MAYBE THE GODHORSES DIDN’T LIKE THE PONIES AFTER A WHILE AND DECIDED THAT A NEW EQUINE MUST BE CREATED TO CARRY ON THEIR LEGACY

AND POOF, THE SADDLE ARABIANS WERE MADE TO BE MUCH BETTER HORSE-LIKE CREATURES

SO PONIES ARE LIKE JUDEO-CHRISTIANS AND SADDLE ARABIANS ARE LIKE MUSLIMS.

IT’S PERFECT.
