As Equestria’s youngest and only mortal head of state, Twilight Sparkle has a lot on her plate.
There’s the day-to-day governmental work, opening Parliament sessions, overseeing court, endless paperwork, and bossing ministers around.
There’s also classwork, spells to practice, lessons to complete, a mentor to please, and countless things to study and read up on.
On top of that, as she recently discovered, the nation is on the eve of its biggest crisis yet, a thousand years in the making.
Yet, it feels like no one in Concordia is even remotely concerned of the disaster approaching. Even her good friend in the Ministry of Environment doesn’t seem too swayed by the discovered prophesy.
That won’t stop the tenacious bookworm, however. She knows that something must be done. And if no one will listen, she might as well do it herself. And perhaps drag poor Fluttershy with her.
But first, there’s that previously mentioned political business to attend to. A mission to a Winter’s Moon Festival event. In a tiny village called Ponyville…
Oh look, it’s Diaries stuff! I’ve been working rather extensively on a reboot for the better part of a year, and this is a peek of what’s coming out of it.

Fluttershy, the sheepish but candid Ministress of Environment, Twilight’s only real friend in a castle full of bureaucratic nonsense.

Six years ago today a cartoon show literally no one believed in (not even its own production staff initially), aired for the first time. It was from a franchise the general public had largely written off a long time ago. It was criticized and ridiculed before it ever aired. By all accounts, there was absolutely no reason for this show to be decent, let alone phenomenal.
But Lauren Faust sparked a fire that swiftly spread to everyone around her. They poured more passion and hard work into My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic than any outsider would think necessary.
It became a worldwide phenomenon, inspired millions of artists of all trades, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities, united countless friendships, spread genuine good throughout the globe, and is arguably one of the most culturally significant cartoons of all time.
