Where do you think you'll be if the Ask-King-Sombra blog didn't get famous. Like would you given up on drawing ponies, stopped the blog, and so on.

I dunno! Really it depends on what ‘famous’ means, honestly. If I didn’t have ANY followers then I probably would have ended AKS in under a year and moved on to something else. But if I had a small but dedicated group of people who were obviously still enjoying the updates and giving feedback, I probably would have still kept the story going!

‘Cuz ultimately I’m doing AKS because I like the characters and I like story, not because I owe it to anyone else. XD But yeah, when you do something and no one is appreciating it, it can get pretty demoralizing so I might have tried something else (probably still pony) if it was clear that no one liked what I was doing with AKS.

SPOILERS: So, yesterday’s episode, right? Wow-wee…

Totally unexpected. We let our guard down and POOF. The Cutie Mark Crusaders got their cutie marks, thereby starting the doomsday clock to the premature end of the series.

The part about how their cutie marks match the others makes sense, but that colour scheme… I’m not very into that. If they were like the Cutie Mark Crusader patches with a blue shield and yellow pony insignia, it would be okay, but this garish purple with the colour of their names is a little… lacking.

So I got to making a few changes of my own while updating the vector models for my Cutie Mark Crusaders, specifically adding in more colours to better define the three, while having them share the colours of their coats on the emblem instead.

There are my personal opinions. I don’t mean to undermine canon. It’ll just be a concept, and I will stick to their canonical cutie marks doing fanart.

First, Big Mac in a hard-hitting brotherly role, now this? And next week’s episode will also be another killer. The Cutie Mark Crusaders got their cutie marks now. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN.

Yes! This is a great alternative scheme! The shields are still prominent and consistent, but the little symbols are way more visible and better show each crusader’s individual traits. It just works so much better.

Really should’ve been canon. y:

A PSA for those who want Tumblr to add a more restrictive blocking feature that prevents users from even viewing their blogs.

See, that’s not viable because there would have to be a a way to discern the blocked user from the thousands of people who view your PUBLIC blog. Sure, an IP ban can work, but that’s easily bypassed by using another device or using a proxy.

I mean, you could accept that yourblog.tumblr.com is on the public web that can be accessed by anyone regardless of your beliefs, but that’s too hard.

What Tumblr can do is make a visibility setting between public and private blogs. A login-only blog. People signed out of Tumblr are confronted with a log-in page and must sign in to see the page. If the user is on a blocked list or has no account, then the page won’t load and boom, you’re happy.

Of course, this can be worked around by making an account, and it makes your blog harder for other people to discover. But hey, that’s the idea.

Tumblr, hire me.

Welp.

Or make a switch that literally hides your blog from the entire web. That also works.  ’ 2’

Why does google think I meant dongcopter when I enter dogcopter, I mean that is AT LEAST equally as incorrect

What I hate is when it spellchecks the word that I replaced.
Like what do you want? You’re the one that picked this!

My phone does that all the time.

My phone loves to autocorrect “in” to “on” or “I’m” to “in” and vice versa. Especially when I used it correctly to start with.
