((Well, Post Crusade followed me. Actually, it followed me more than 2 months ago, but I couldn’t focus on this until recently.

I know I’m very late, but I just couldn’t let this pass. The mod is one of people I admire the most, as well as my biggest inpiration as an artist in this fandom. Thanks for the follow Cactus Cake/Dtcx97, it’s an honor to have you on my blog.))

Aww, it’s no big deal. It actually took me a while to realize that you were… well, you! ^_^’

And me as an inspiration? Absurd! ._.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words! And I can’t wait to more of AB and Diamond Tiara!

p.s your lineless art looks really high quality art! do you use use the same models you draw for every update? or you just redraw them everytime?

seems like it is made in flash, no?

I use SAI to draw them, and Photoshop for any other effects.

And yes, I do have dedicated models for all the characters (and poses). But SAI tends to degrade the quality of the layers the more you use/modify them. They get all blurry and the colors begin changing.

So I often find myself having to redraw them. But that’s good because then they look even better than the old models! Sometimes I just redraw them because I feel like it, or when there’s errors in the pose or general look.

I would use a vector-based program like Flash or Inkscape, but then it takes away the fun of actually drawing. Also, Flash is hard. .A.

Can’t you just ctrl+t and size it down?

I can. And I was joking with the canvas enlarging (it’s at 1400x1400).

But…

Using [CTRL+T], or transform, screws with the edges of the strokes in SAI. Here, a part of the line is fuzzier than the other. A dark ring also tends to form.

This is why some PC puppets look fuzzy and sometimes show small dark lines. It’s good for a little retouch in size or a warp. But to get it the size I want with the same line thickness, it won’t work. I’m better off redrawing it.

And in SAI, making the canvas bigger is like taping a piece of paper to the paper you’re using. It just gives you more space to work on. All strokes remain the same size. If you change the resolution of the canvas, that’s a different story.
